Karel learned to play the guitar when he was 15 years. A few years later he took his first piano lessons. Not long afterwards he was the keyboardist for the - still existing - melodic rockband DECENNIUM. www.decennium.net

Karel has a rich musical past, besides DECENNIUM, he performed for many years with the well-known Top40 band GAME and toured the Benelux with the Dutch troubadour DIMITRI VAN TOREN. Karel is a wanted session musician. Formerly he worked for the Telstar Studio's in Weert, and nowadays Karel runs his own studio. He recorded MAYTREE RHYTHM & BLUES BAND debut album 'BLUESTRAIN TO HEAVEN' and also played the Hammond organ and other keyboards. After several years absence he landed again on the MAYTREE-nest. Besides MAYTREE RHYTHM & BLUES BAND, Karel is member of melodic rockband DECENNIUM and Rolling Stones tributeband THE TUMBLIN' DICE.
